The firm asserts that the deal will strengthen its position in growing markets and consolidate its distribution power. But it is difficult to see what Agfa brings to Pitman, or Pitman to Agfa.

[July 21, 2010] On July 1, Xerox announced its Print Advisor software that allows IT managers and office workers to more carefully manage their printing. The basic version is free to owners of the Xerox ColorQube 9200 MFP series, and a forthcoming Premium version will enable an organization to monitor its entire Xerox printer and MFP fleet.

[July 12, 2010] As the first half of 2010 ends, the rollout of Apple’s groundbreaking iPad has clearly been one of the biggest technology events so far this year. With 3 million units sold in the first 80 days (as announced by Apple on June 22, the category-creating iPad has set records and (mostly) wowed the pundits. The iPad’s lack of native printing capabilities is one of the device’s few black marks.
