Agfa to Acquire Graphic Arts Distributor Pitman

[July 23, 2010] Agfa has announced that it will acquire the assets of Pitman, a leading graphic-arts distributor. The firm asserts that the deal will strengthen its position in growing markets and consolidate its distribution power. But it is difficult to see what Agfa brings to Pitman, or Pitman to Agfa.
